St. Bernard Fifth in CIF Football Poll

After improving to 4-0 last Friday, the St. Bernard High varsity football team jumped to No. 5 in this week's CIF Southern Section Northwest Division Top 10 rankings.

St. Bernard has already won more games than it did all of last season. The Vikings didn't need any late-game heroics in dispatching Lawndale at home 39-14. First-year head coach Larry Muno's squad plays its third straight home game Friday, taking on Cantwell-Sacred Heart in its Del Rey League opener.
