St. Bernard High School Forms Partnership with Los Angeles Sparks
The Sparks will make the school their "home away from home."

The Los Angeles Sparks and St. Bernard High School are teaming up to make the campus a local home for the WNBA players.
The Sparks will now hold all of their work outs, future practices and scrimmages at the Playa del Rey high school, according to Alison Guerrero, assistant to the school principal.
St. Bernard Athletic Director Chad Nammack referred to the move as a "win-win" for the school because the Sparks will also be making improvements to the school, including upgrading equipment, renovating a weight room and refinishing the floor of the school's gymnasium.

Dr. Cynthia Hoepner, St. Bernard's co-principal, said she is excited about the partnership and working with Sparks owner Paula Madison.
"Paula Madison and her commitment to excellence and the women that she brings onto the team and not only just wanting them to be excellent in terms of on the court but just ready and prepared to be successful in life," Hoepner said. "That's what we're trying to do here at St. Bernard is bring that sense of quality and excellence in everything we do and making sure that these kids are prepared for success in college and beyond."
