Woman Killed Crossing Street in Del Rey Indentified

The woman died after she was struck by a motorist while crossing the street. The driver remained at the scene until police arrived.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- The coroner's office Sunday released the name of a woman struck and killed by a motorist in the Del Rey community of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office has identified her as 64-year- old Natalia Diaz.

Diaz was crossing the street on Culver Boulevard about 11:20 p.m. Thursday when she was struck by a vehicle going westbound on Culver Boulevard, near Slauson Avenue, according to Officer Aareon Jefferson of the LAPD's Media Relations Section.

Diaz was pronounced dead the scene, Jefferson said.

The motorist stayed at the scene and cooperated with police, he said.
