10 Martinez Boys and Girls Club Kids Receive New Bikes
The effort was courtesy of a Comcast giving-back event.
Ten children from the Boys & Girls Club in Martinez went home with new bicycles from a Comcast California partnership with Odyssey Teams.
The team building exercise was an effort to give back to local communities, strengthen employee teams and emphasize the importance of delivering outstanding customer experiences by creating lasting and meaningful connections with their customers, company officials said.
Forty children, between the ages of 6-12, from four California Boys & Girls Clubs -- including Martinez and also from Fresno, Oakland and San Jose -- attended the Wednesday event and each child went home with a new bicycle, built by Comcast employees in the meeting.
