3 Arrested in Contra Costa Shooting
A man and woman were hospitalized after being hit by gunfire.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- Three men have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Antioch that sent two people to the hospital on Dec. 19.
Kamani Stelly, 18, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder and unlawful discharge of a firearm, Cody Moss, 25, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder, unlawful discharge
of a firearm and on other weapons violations, and Ronvell Scheneck, 20, was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory after the fact and for a probation violation, police said.
Officers responded Monday to the area of Cavallo Road and East 18th Street on a report of shots being fired and located two victims at separate locations who had been struck by gunfire, police said.

Police said Stelly and Moss were walking on Cavallo Road at 11:25 a.m. when they had an argument with another group.
As the two suspects were walking back to their apartment, Moss pulled out a handgun, gave it to Stelly, and Stelly opened fire on the group from a considerable distance, police said.

A 26-year-old man from Antioch who was in the group was hit by the gunfire. A 23-year-old woman inside a vehicle was also shot, police said.
Both shooting victims were transported to the hospital, where the man has been listed in stable condition and the woman was listed in critical condition.
Police were able to detain the suspects at the scene, and all three were arrested.
