4 Displaced In Martinez Fire

No one was injured in the fire, which was reported at 5:25 a.m. in the 3400 block of Sentinel Drive.

MARTINEZ, CA -- Four people were displaced this morning after a 1-alarm fire at a Martinez apartment complex, according to the Contra Costa County Fire District. No one was injured in the fire, which was reported at 5:25 a.m. in the 3400 block of Sentinel Drive.

The blaze was under control within 20 minutes, Fire Prevention Captain Steve Aubert said.

Three of the four people who lived there were home at the time of the fire, according to Aubert. The Red Cross is providing assistance to the residents.

The blaze stemmed from an air conditioning unit on the second floor of the unit, but it's unknown why it caught fire, Aubert said. No other units were damaged at the complex.
