Babysitting Training Class Starts Soon In Martinez
The session is open to boys and girls, ages 11 to 15.

MARTINEZ, CA – Martinez Recreation Services is hosting a Babysitter's Training class on Friday, Feb. 16 for boys and girls, 11 to 15 years old, who are interested in learning skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children.
The American Red Cross has recently updated the Babysitter’s Training, adding features such as a
CD-ROM loaded with helpful information for the babysitter. Topics will include running a small business,
safety, safe play, discipline, basic infant care, and basic first aid. A book with a babysitter
certificate, supplies and snacks are included.
No CPR or First Aid Certification will be provided with this class.
The class runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at City Hall, 525 Henrietta St. in Martinez, and students should bring a lunch. Register online at www.cityofmartinez. Fee: $72/$67 Martinez Resident. Instructor: Patty Lorick
