Art Around Us: Mural on Franklin Canyon Road

Monday and last Friday, I had the privilege to help paint on the mural on Franklin Canyon Road. Lorena Castillo, one of the teachers at the New Leaf Academy, invited me to participate In this three year long project with her students. Having painted murals in town and having taught student artists, I jumped at the opportunity.

Under the guidance of Artist Chris Castle, The students are depicting the travels of John Muir. Images of topographical maps and local wild flowers add to this beautiful, twelve panel visual story.
