Crews Battle Shoreline Fire In Crockett
The blaze broke out near Carquinez Scenic Drive and Regional Shoreline Park, according to Cal Fire.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Firefighters with Cal Fire and the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District battled a vegetation fire Friday northwest of Martinez in the Crockett area.
The blaze — dubbed the Shoreline Fire — broke out in the area of Carquinez Scenic Drive and Regional Shoreline Park; as of 5:30 p.m., the wildfire was 7 to 10 acres in size, according to Cal Fire.
Crews soon got the upper hand; as of 6:19 p.m., the fire was 13.7 acres and forward progress had been stopped.
