Investigation Continues Into Death of Martinez Pedestrian Friday Night
The victim was in his 60s, police said.

Police said a pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle in Martinez Friday night was a man about 60 years old.
The identity of the man had not been released late Friday night as police were still trying to notify his family. Emergency crews responded at 8:22 p.m. to Morello Avenue near state Highway 4 after a vehicle struck a pedestrian.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators. There were no immediate signs the driver was intoxicated, police said.
