Kaiser Permanente Honors Cancer Survivors with Celebrating Hope Event

Kaiser Permanente’s Antioch Medical Center will mark National Cancer Survivors Day on Saturday June 11 with its 3rd annual Celebrating Hope event.

Activities include:

  • Guest lectures about the Power of Hope and Food as Medicine
  • Cooking demonstrations and educational booths
  • Live music
  • Zumba
  • Children’s activities
  • Networking with other survivors

The cancer program at Kaiser Permanente’s Walnut Creek Medical Center was granted Three-Year Accreditation with five commendations from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons in 2014 for their exceptional and multidisciplinary approach to treating cancer. This year, Kaiser Permanente’s Antioch Medical Center will apply for the same accreditation.

The Celebrate Hope event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. This is the first year the event will be held in Antioch.

Lunch will be provided to all attendees.
