Kyle Jester Blues Show at Armando's THIS THURSDAY with an ALL-STAR CAST of Bay Area Blues HEAVYWEIGHTS!

My band Kyle Jester Blues Show will be performing at Armando's on April 7th, this Thursday, with an all-star cast of Bay Area Blues MASTERS!

This is gonna be such a good time I can hardly contain myself!

LINEUP:

  • Kyle Jester on guitar & vocals: I formerly played, toured, or recorded with Candye Kane, James Harman, Mark Hummel, Earl Thomas, Alabama Mike, Freddie Brooks, & Aki Kumar. Currently I tour internationally with my own band, and play with Delta Groove Music recording artists, West Coast Playboys!
  • Andy Santana on harp & vocals: Andy and his band were featured artists at the "Santa Cruz Blues Fest" backing New Orleans legend Earl King. As the host band at Moe’s Alley they backed Joe Huston, Lou Ann Barton, Jimmy Thackery, CoCo Montoya, Tommy Castro, Chris Cain, and Sista Monica. In addition, Andy’s band backed Nappy Brown (Night Time is the Right Time) at the San Francisco Blues Fest. Andy has recorded and toured with cult legend Junior Watson and "Austin’s first lady of the Blues," Angela Strehli.
  • Bob Welsh on upright piano: Bob currently plays guitar with guitar legend Elvin Bishop, and has played with Mark Hummel, John Nemeth, Rusty Zinn, Roy Gaines, Jackie Payne, Kim Wilson, James Cotton, Snooky Pryor, James Harman, Billy Boy Arnold, & Charlie Musselwhite.
  • Vance Ehlers on upright bass: Vance has played and/or recorded with Maria Mulduar, Indigo Swing, Mark Hummel, Junior Watson, & Alabama Mike.
  • Pete Devine on drums: Pete Devine currently plays drums with his trio HowellDevine, a band which is signed to the legendary roots and blues label, Arhoolie Records. He has been performing in the SF Bay Area for 25 years, and has played and recorded with such acts at Bo Grumpus, Mal Sharpe's Jazz Band (for 25 years) Gaucho, and was a founding member of Lavay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers. Pete's old-time drums style and rare jug blowing talents have also landed him work over the years with roots music favorites Maria Muldaur and the late Dan Hicks.
