SUPERVISOR FEDERAL GLOVER
Martinez, CA, Sept 13, 2016 – Supervisor Federal Glover has been the recipient of a generous outpouring of support and endorsements from Martinez leaders and citizens in his current re-election bid for District 5 Supervisor on the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors.

Martinez city leaders, Mayor Rob Schroder and Councilmembers Lara DeLaney and Mark Ross have endorsed Supervisor Glover for the November 8 ballot. Additional support from former Martinez Mayor and Councilmember Mike Menesini, former Councilmembers Janet Kennedy and Harriett Burt, and former Councilmember and current Community College District Trustee, Tim Farley, as well as retired Congressman George Miller, a life-long Martinez resident, have all added to the long list of supporters.
“My father, Bob Schroder, served the people of Contra Costa County for 16 years as a member of the Board of Supervisors, said Mayor Schroder. “He showed me that it takes experience, wisdom, perspective, credibility, honesty, compassion, and a deep sense of service to others. Federal Glover has all of those qualities and that is why I support him.”

“We can rely on Supervisor Glover’s experience, ethics, and trust-worthiness, added Councilwoman DeLaney. “That is why I’m proud to endorse him.”
“I am honored to have the support of many esteemed Martinez citizens and leaders. As the County seat and host to many County departments, Martinez has always been a key partner of County government, said Supervisor Glover. “I look forward to enhancing this partnership through the facility planning process we have recently embarked upon. And, I am thankful to well-known community members such as Roy Jeans, Danny Pellegrini, Cathy Riggs and Mark Hughes for their continued support as well.”
Supervisor Federal Glover has been representing Martinez on the Contra Costa Board of Supervisors since 2011. He supports a strong urban limit line to control growth and protect open space. He has helped secure $1.8 billion in transportation funding for local roads and highways. He is leading the effort to fund Highway 4 cameras to curb freeway shootings. Supervisor Glover is supported by Congressmen Mike Thompson and Mark DeSaulnier, the Contra Costa Building and Construction Trades Council, Sheriff David Livingston, District Attorney Mark Peterson and the Deputy District Attorneys Association, the Teamsters and the California Nurses Association.
