Temporary Martinez Junior High Faculty Member Arrested: Police
The arrest was made when officers responded a report that a battery had occurred on the campus of Martinez Junior High School, police said.

MARTINEZ, CA — A temporary Martinez Junior High School faculty member was arrested Friday by Martinez police. The arrest came after officers responded at 11 a.m. to a report of a battery that occurred at the 1600 Court St. campus, the Martinez Police Department said Friday evening in a brief statement.
Officers' initial investigation prompted the arrest of the temporary faculty member, whom police identified as Alex Aono, on suspicion of misdemeanor battery of a student, according to the statement.
"The investigation is ongoing and no further information is being released at this time," police said at about 5:30 p.m. Friday in the statement posted to Martinez Police Department's Twitter and Facebook accounts.
