Open House at Contra Costa County Historical Society celebrating American Archives Month

Visit Saturday, October 17 for an Open House of the County Archives and hear about how Pinole resident used archives to co-author his book.

Join us for an Open House to kick off our inaugural Author in the Archives series featuring a special guest from Pinole, followed by a tour of the County archives to celebrate American Archives Month.

Jeff Rubin, President of the Pinole Historical Society, will talk about how he used archives, both local and afar, to co-author his new book “Pinole Through Time.” You’ll enjoy hearing about his journey through the various archives he used and how you can incorporate various archives in your research. Be prepared for some fun stories!


Following Jeff Rubin will be tours of the County archives. Take advantage of this special opportunity to see how CCCHS preserves delicate records and special collections.
