Pittsburg Police Arrest 14 During Retail Theft Operation

PITTSBURG, CA — Pittsburg police said Sunday they arrested more than a dozen people during a recent theft operation.
Officers arrested 14 people, towed five vehicles and recovered $5,200 in stolen merchandise, $3,200 of which was from Pittsburg stores such as Winco, Walmart, Burlington and Target.
The rest was from Old Navy, Children's Place, Forever21 and Macy's in Antioch and San Francisco.
Police said two of the suspects admitted to being boosters (professional thieves, stealing for others to profit) who normally target department stores in San Francisco. Police towed their vehicle found the additional $2,000 inside several Sears plastic bags, which were already separated and set to be delivered to their customers.

Police said the suspects were arrested on suspicion of felony shoplifting and possessing stolen property.
