Police Log: Porta-Potty Spill, Coyote Sighting, Counterfeit Money

November 15

Hit and run - 8:39 a.m. A caller reported that a white BMW with a dark-haired male driver hit several cars on Robinson Street, then went southbound on Alhambra Avenue, "spinning" and hitting a red truck.

Train in the way - 5:10 p.m. A train blocked traffic for about 25 minutes at Berrellesa Street and Embarcadero.

Counterfeit money - 5:21 p.m. An employee at Marina Market on Escobar Street reported that a man passed a counterfeit $10 bill to the cashier about a half-hour earlier.

Saddlebag theft - 6:21 p.m. A caller reported saddlebags containing a laptop computer and tools were taken from a parked motorcycle.

Road hazard - 9:47 p.m. A pipe was lying on Highway 4 eastbound, just south of Morello Avenue, and traffic was stopped in in both directions, a caller reported.

November 16

Drunk in public - 3:31 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.

Vehicle ransacked - 6:59 a.m. The right rear passenger window of a vehicle parked on Pacheco Boulevard was broken sometime during the night. It's unknown what, if anything, was taken.

November 17

Smelly spill - 12:33 a.m. A truck carrying a porta-potty spilled sewage in the street near Silver Fern Racing on Howe Road.

Garage burglary - 11:14 a.m. A door was pried open at a garage on Pleasant Hill Road and several items taken.

Wallet found - 7:46 p.m. - A good citizen turned a lost wallet into the police department.

November 18

Tires slashed - 10:12 a.m. A caller reported that tires were slashed on two of the family's vehicles on Heavenly Drive.

Coyote sighting - 11:41 a.m. A caller reported seeing a coyote, possibly injured, in the Chilpancingo Park area. Animal Control and the state Fish & Game Department were notified.

Wallet taken - 2:16 p.m. A wallet was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Elm Street.

Disturbance - 19:16 p.m. Police received multiple calls about a disturbance near Mill Road and Farm Lane. Callers reported possible gunshots, a possible auto accident and lots of yelling.
