Motorist Injured When Hitting Tree At I-680 Onramp

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – A Mini Cooper crashed into a tree in Walnut Creek Monday night, leaving the driver with major injuries.

The collision was reported to California Highway Patrol officers at 10:01 p.m.

Officers discovered the vehicle on the North Main Street onramp to northbound Interstate Highway 680.

Walnut Creek firefighters extricated the occupant, who was then transported to John Muir Medical Center.
