Grandparent Alert: Get In Free At Children's Fairyland

Treat the grand-kiddos to a day at the popular theme park ... and enter to win a 529 College Savings Plan!

OAKLAND, CA – Today marks the start of Grandparents' Week at Children's Fairyland in Oakland. Through Saturday, grandparents will receive free admission to the park when they are accompanied by their grandchild.

The park will be open each day from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., weather permitting, closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

Since 1950, Fairyland has stood as a Bay Area destination for those with youngsters -- a fantasy environment for play and imagination with fairy tales, performing arts, animals, and unique children's programming focused on early childhood education and literacy.

Plus, as part the Grandparents' Week promotion, a contest is underway through Dec. 30: Enter for a chance to win $250 toward a ScholarShare 529 College Savings Plan as the grand prize or one runner-up will receive a year-long Fairyland family membership.
