The Briones Labyrinth has always been a sacred part of my spiritual practice. I have gone out there for years to pray, meditate, and be in nature. A few weeks ago when I visited, I was unable to walk the path in the Labyrinth because someone had taken the time to pull out many of the stones that created the path and taken the branches that created the enclosure to the center to cover up where people were leaving prayers and offerings. I, personally, would never go to a sacred space and change it in such a way that it makes it impossible for people to conduct their personal spiritual practices so I don't understand why this has happened. As a community I hope we can come together in understanding and respect for the diversity of spiritual expression and allow one another the peace and wholeness of our individual practices.
