Setting Daily Intentions

What's the first thing you think of in the morning when you wake up? Do you let your mind immediately wander into any drama from the previous day? Or do you wake up in gratitude for all that is good in this new day?

I know people who wake up and open their holy books immediately or go straight from bed to the yoga mat or meditation. These folks generally start off the day feeling spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically strong.

 And then there are the folks who get up and tune into the news or Facebook right away. They can certainly tap into some goodness, but usually what you get on the news or social networks in the morning has a tendency toward negativity.

The way you start your day is broadcast into every cell of your being. It sets the tone, determines how you deal with people and situations. When you wake up tomorrow morning, what intention will you set for your day? If you wake and catch your mind wandering into negativity, change it and start over.
