Shooting Suspect Leads Police On Multi-County Search
Police in Antioch, Concord, and San Rafael track a suspect in the shooting of a woman across three counties.
BAY AREA, CA — A 43-year-old East Bay man suspected of shooting a woman was arrested in San Rafael following a shooting reported Friday night in Antioch, police said.
According to the Antioch Police Department, officers responded at about 8:39 p.m. Friday to a ShotSpotter alert of shots fired in the 2300 block of Buchanan Road.
Officers found evidence of a shooting at the scene and later learned that a 42-year-old woman had been taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound. She was treated for her injuries and is expected to survive.

A 43-year-old Oakley man suspected of shooting her next appeared in San Rafael, where local police detained him.
