Storage Facility Goes Ablaze In Nearby Antioch

Firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out at a storage facility in Antioch Monday evening.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- Firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out at a storage facility in Antioch Monday evening, according to a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District investigator.

At 6:24 p.m., fire officials received a report of a fire at Antioch Mini Storage, located at 815 Sunset Drive, investigator Ryan Graham said.

According to Graham, the two-alarm fire broke out at a storage unit. Firefighters arrived and knocked down the blaze at 6:53 p.m.

Three storage units, the contents inside and a pickup truck sustained serious damage. The facility's manager and owner were on site as firefighters attacked and extinguished the blaze.

There were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, Graham said.
