Suspect In Hit-and-Run Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI In Martinez

Police arrested a driver on suspicion of DUI after her vehicle allegedly struck a pedestrian Sunday in Martinez, police said. Officers responded at 2:15 p.m. to the 2100 block of Alhambra Avenue to a report of a hit-and-run collision, according to police.

Officers found the victim who appeared to have major injuries and she was taken to a hospital, according to police. Police said witnesses followed the suspect in her vehicle and alerted police to the suspect’s location.

The suspect was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries and arrested.

Police said the suspect’s vehicle also hit three parked vehicles.
