Two Locals Finish the Boston Marathon
Martinez residents Thomas Gill and Robert Speck ran the prestigious race Monday.
Two Martinez residents took part in the 115th annual Boston Marathon on Monday, at which Kenya's Geoffrey Mutai ran the fastest marathon in recorded history: 2:03.02.
Thomas Gil, 46, covered the 26.2-mile course in 3:21.47 — a 7:42 pace.
Robert Spekc, 56, ran the course in 3:29:39, just under 8 minutes per mile.
