Walnut Creek Pursuit Ends With One Arrest, Female Driver at Large
A CHP helicopter, a police dog and officers were all involved int he search.

Police arrested a man Sunday night after he and another suspect led police on a pursuit in a stolen car in Walnut Creek.
At 8:31 p.m., an officer attempted to stop a vehicle that didn’t have license plates, according to police. A short pursuit ensued when the vehicle’s driver refused to stop.
The driver, a female, and the passenger, a man, then got out of the vehicle and fled on foot, police said. Officers determined the vehicle had been stolen out of Lafayette and also found stolen property inside the car, according to police.

Using the assistance of a California Highway Patrol helicopter, a Concord police K-9 and a Walnut Creek police K-9 unit, police were able to locate the male suspect, identified as 35-year-old Aaron Thompson, police said.
Thompson was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, as well as several outstanding warrants, according to police. Police were not able to locate the female driver but have identified her.
