Menlo Park Has 6 Electric Vehicle Rebates Remaining

Eligible residents can receive $2,000 toward the purchase of a new or used electric vehicle.

MENLO PARK, CA — Menlo Park residents interested in buying an electric vehicle may still qualify for a $2,000 rebate, but the city has only six awards remaining in its incentive program.

The city has distributed or committed 14 of the 20 available rebates through a partnership with Acterra, according to a Monday announcement.

The program helps qualifying residents offset the cost of purchasing a new or used electric vehicle. The remaining rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Applicants must live in Menlo Park and meet at least one of the following requirements:

Eligible residents may also combine the city's rebate with other incentives, including the Clean Cars for All program and PG&E rebates, according to the announcement.

The city highlighted a recent recipient who used the program to help purchase an electric vehicle as officials encouraged other qualifying residents to apply before the remaining funding is exhausted.

Menlo Park offers the rebates as part of its efforts to make electric vehicle ownership more accessible and support cleaner transportation.

Residents can review eligibility requirements and application information through the city's EV rebate program.
