Update: Authorities Locate Missing Cupertino High Student

Car she was driving was found Wednesday night in a rural area of the county.

UPDATE: 9:00 a.m.

A Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department spokesperson tells Patch deputies have located a missing Cupertino High School girl.

Deputy Sgt Kurtis Stenderup says 17-year-old Emma Pickett was found in a rural area of the county. Authorities had earlier located the car she was driving.

A Cupertino High School student reportedly disappeared the morning of November 11, and has not yet been found.

NBC Bay Area is reporting that 17-year-old Emma Pickett, a CHS student, was last seen shortly after 8:00 a.m. when she left her home, heading for school. The report says a car she was driving was found Wednesday night in a rural area of San Mateo County.

Friends on Tumblr say that she has white platinum blonde hair but she has recently dyed it with a shade of purple.

The NBC report states Emma was driving a black 2001 Jaguar S, with the license plate: 4PIJ247.
