Free the Children Water4india Project: $600 Donation!

Girl Scout troop 33166 and friends from Hillview Middle School had an exciting movie night on March 1st to raise money for Free the Children!  Free the Children is an amazing organization that donates money to places in need.  It is an international charity and educational partner, with more than 1.7 million youth involved in our innovative education and development programs in 45 countries. We chose to donate our money to provide clean drinking water for people in India.  $10 provides clean drinking water for one person for one year.  We raised $600 - so we can help 60 people for one year.  Over 50 people attented to see the movie The Blind Side outdoors in a big backyard in Atherton.  3 large pizzas were kindly donated by Tony's Pizza, in Menlo Park. We plan to hold a similar event soon!
