Looking for Local Heroes
Juice, a Menlo Park company that has gone national, is looking for local heroes to have fun and help our local business owners!
I figure I'll start this weekly blog about Juice "behind the scenes" with a post about the way this whole crazy thing began. We are in 17 markets today and will be in over 50 by the end of the year.
And it all started here in Menlo Park.
Our very first deal, a test we ran months before launch, was at Cafe Borrone. From there, I sourced the first 10 or 20 or so deals myself. It wasn't easy, especially before most people had heard of the deal a day model. But it was FUN and rewarding. I felt like a local hero.

All of a sudden, I was working to craft marketing programs for local business owners at spots like Cafe Borrone and Keplers' and Duckys Car Wash. I got to write about them and amplify my deep love for their services on the Juice platform. My voice reached thousands of local moms' email inboxes and was featured on the Juice home page.
I was heard by my peers and recognized for being a local mom "in the know". I can't tell you how many moms stopped me at school drop off to gush about the deals I was finding! I helped local business owners pull in customers they were very happy with. They expressed their gratitude to me, which felt great. I was treated like a VIP when I came in to these businesses thereafter.

But most importantly, I contributed to my local economy. (Oh and p.s. if I weren't the CMO and co-founder at Juice I would have earned great money from sourcing those deals :).
The great thing about experiencing and amplifying recommendations for local business owners is that any local mom can do it. We are always looking for great local heroes that want to work part time and have an amazing career from home as well as join a powerful community of moms. We believe we are helping protect the neighborhoods that help raise our children by working to ensure the uniqueness of our communities. We don't want Menlo Park to turn into a strip mall!
