Coroner IDs Woman Found Dead in Palo Alto Home

A family member who was looking for the woman and found her body called police dispatch last week.

Palo Alto, CA – A woman found dead in her Palo Alto home last week has been identified as 65-year-old Jenny Shi, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.

Shi's body was found at her residence in the 300 block of Creekside Drive and detectives have treated the case as a suspicious death, police said.

A family member who was looking for Shi and found her body called police dispatch around 7:40 p.m. Thursday, according to police.

Investigators processed the crime scene through the night, on Friday and over the weekend, police said.

Detectives have ruled out suicide and are treating the death as "likely a homicide," police said.
