More than 130,000 flights take off and land at the airport each year.

To minimize the noise impact on the nearby communities of East Palo Alto, Atherton, North Fair Oaks and Redwood City, the county Board of Supervisors will consider mitigation efforts. County staff will bring back some recommended measures in April that could be adopted by the board as soon as June.
