The California Highway Patrol, Golden Gate Division wishes you a safe, prosperous and Happy New Year 2015!
As you make plans to celebrate tonightās festivities, ensure that you have designated a sober driver to get you home safely. You donāt want to start 2015 in a jail cell.
If you forget to designate, and find yourself needing a sober ride home, take advantage of the many free ride options listed below. Never get behind the wheel while impaired by drugs and/or alcohol. Itās not just your life that hangs in the balance.
Free Ride Options around the Bay Area:
San Francisco Muni
- Free Rides on all routes from 8PM until 5 AM
- Muni Metro runs late until 2:15 AM
SamTrans
- Free Rides on all routes from 8PM until 5AM
Caltrain
- Free Rides from 8PM until the end of service
- Extra trains after midnight, last departure from SF at 2:15 AM
Santa Clara VTA
- Free Rides on all routes from 8PM until 5AM
AC Transit - Downtown Oakland B Shuttle
- Free Rides from 7PM until 1AM
BART
- Extended operations, last departure at 3AM
