East Palo Alto Man Nabbed in Peninsula Burglary, Sheriff's Office Says
BREAKING: Sheriff's officials say the man, 19, was caught after a witness called in a description.

SAN CARLOS, CA ā San Mateo County sheriff's officials are crediting an alert witness with helping them capture a burglary suspect in San Carlos this week.
According to sheriff's Det. Sal Zuno, someone called authorities at 5:29 p.m. Wednesday upon seeing two suspects run from a residence in the 900 block of Holly Street.
"A suspect and vehicle description were given," Zuno said in a news release. "Both were located a short time later in the City of East Palo Alto by our Sheriffās Office Crime Suppression Unit."

Roger Pena, 19, was ultimately arrested on suspicion of residential burglary, according to Zuno. Pena is a resident of East Palo Alto.
Zuno said two other suspects in the case are outstanding, but names or descriptions weren't provided. The case remains under investigation.

"This is a great example of 'See Something, Say Something' and an alert neighbor not hesitating," Zuno added.
