Best-selling author and Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, Dr. Verghese will discuss his two careers. Dr. Verghese is the author of Cutting for Stone which has been on the New York Times Paperback Fiction List for over two years; My Own Country, which is based on his experiences working with persons living with HIV in Johnson City, Tennessee; and The Tennis Partner, also a national bestseller. Following his talk, Dr, Verghese will answer a few questions and be available for book signing.
