Concert Program IV: Songs of Love

One of Brahms’s essential creative outlets was the Romantic vocal tradition he inherited from Franz Schubert. This program surrounds Brahms’s belovedLiebeslieder Waltzes with the music of Schubert, Schumann, and Alban Berg, one of Brahms’s early-twentieth-century artistic heirs.
