Mateo Motion VIII--San Mateo High School's Annual Dance Concert

Over 160 students participate in San Mateo High School's Dance program.  Mateo Motion is their end of the year showcase.  It's great family entertainment--and an especially great opportunity for younger dancers to see high school dancers perform many different styles of dance.  It's high-energy and fast-paced, with choreography by the school's award-winning dance director, Robyn Tribuzi, and by some of the dance students.  Dance styles will include jazz, contemporary, tap, ballet, and hip-hop.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.  There is a $2 discount for advance purchases.  More information and tickets are available at www.smhsdrama.org/dance. ; All performances are in the San Mateo Performing Arts Center at 600 North Delaware Street.

Students in the dance classes have been studying dance all year long in school classes.  In addition, 78 of the advanced and intermediate dance students went to New York this past February, where they participated in classes at New York studios and in special workshops with Broadway performers.
