Menlo 2, The King's Academy 1

Rebounding from a tough first half, the Menlo boys' soccer team came back to score two thrilling goals and hold on for a 2-1 victory over The King's Academy in Sunnyvale.

Junior Max Parker started the scoring in the 51st minute off a flick on header by senior captain Henry Bard.

As the intensity of the game picked up, so did Menlo's attacking opportunities. The efforts were rewarded with 20 seconds left in the match as Agustin Diaz placed a perfect ball to Bard who headed to the back post for the win.

Menlo improves to 7-1-3 overall and 4-1-1 in West Bay Athletic League play. TKA moves to 4-0-1 in league.
