Juniors Andrew Buchanan, Max Garnick and Senior Co-Captain Jackson Dean led the Menlo Golf team to a 202-211 victory over Pinewood at the Palo Alto Municipal Golf Course on Monday.
Buchanan earned medalist honors by shooting an even par 36 with 2 birdies on the day. Senior Jackson Dean and Junior Max Garnick both shot 40 battling through the tough, windy conditions.
Garnick recorded his third straight scoring round by shooting 3 pars and a birdie on the par 5 ninth hole. Garick stood over a 150 yard shot to the green on the 9th hole and stuck his approach shot 1 foot from the pin. Garnick calmly tapped in the birdie putt to seal the victory for Menlo.
