Most training programs run on guesswork. Custom Fit replaces it with measurement. At its San Francisco studios, Personal Training and Partner Training memberships include unlimited DEXA body-composition scans and VO2 max testing — diagnostics usually sold one scan at a time or reserved for specialized clinics. Custom Fit members can test as often as they train. The reasoning is straightforward. A DEXA scan measures fat, lean muscle, and bone density with clinical precision. A VO2 max test measures the body's maximum oxygen uptake, one of the strongest predictors of cardiovascular fitness and long-term health. Run those tests on a regular cadence and a member can see exactly what is changing, where, and whether a program is working — rather than relying on the scale or the mirror. That is the idea behind Custom Fit's positioning: not a gym, a performance lab. Every program is built from a member's measured body composition and cardiovascular capacity, then adjusted as the data moves. The goal is to eliminate the guesswork that defines most fitness routines and to treat training as something you can verify. The model also brings longevity diagnostics that usually live in concierge medicine into a routine training week. Body composition and cardiovascular capacity are central markers of how well a person is aging, and regular testing keeps those numbers visible rather than treating them as an occasional, expensive add-on. My name is Clint Blakely and I’m a product of Mountain View High School's performing arts departments, where I fell in love with music singing with the Madrigals. I hold a BA in Jazz Voice from USC's Thornton School of Music. I've played &amp; sung music around the world – Los Angeles bars &amp; clubs, Amsterdam concert halls, Rio de Janeiro churches... I love teaching lessons over Zoom! For the past 5 years, I’ve taught students all over the world whose ages range from 4 years old to 60+. My students have a wide variety of skill levels, from complete beginners to 10+ years of prior study. In my lessons, I combine technical instruction and creative exercises within a fun, encouraging atmosphere. The Menlo School boys' lacrosse team reeled in its third consecutive victory, topping visiting Los Gatos 6-5 in an SCVAL game Tuesday. The defending champion Knights improve to 7-4 in Santa Clara Valley Athletic League-De Anza play, holding on to third place, and are 10-9 overall, with one regular-season game remaining against Mountain View at home Thursday. Against the Wildcats, the Knights pulled ahead in the second quarter 2-1 and held on for the win. Junior Nick Schultz landed a hat trick and junior Wiley Osborne had a goal and a pair of assists. Senior Ryan Grzejka scored twice, had a steal and combined with Schultz for 11 ground balls. Senior Shuhei Nakata won 11 of 13 face-offs for Menlo, and junior Luc McNally recorded seven saves. The City of Menlo Park, in collaboration with Acterra, has launched the Electric vehicle (EV) rebate and electric bike (e-bike) voucher program to support eligible residents in accessing more affordable and sustainable transportation options. The program is intended to help reduce transportation costs, expand access to electric mobility options, and support local air quality and climate goals.
Through this program, residents can apply for one or both incentives - an EV rebate and/or an e-bike voucher. Each option has a different application process and distribution method.
Eligible residents may receive:
<ul><li>$2,000 rebate toward the purchase of a new or used electric vehicle. This is a post-purchase rebate, and applications must be submitted within 30 days of purchase.</li><li>$1,000 voucher toward the purchase of select e-bikes at participating bike retailers. Vouchers are issued in advance and applied at the point of sale, with the City reimbursing the shop directly.</li></ul>
These incentives can be combined with other local, state, and federal programs, including <a href="https://www.baaqmd.gov/funding-and-incentives/residents/clean-cars-for-all" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Clean Cars for All</a>,<a href="https://www.peninsulacleanenergy.com/residential/rebates-offers/ev-rebate-program/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank"> Peninsula Clean Energy (PCE)</a>, and <a href="https://evrebates.pge.com/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">PG&amp;E</a> rebates.
<h3>Eligibility Requirements:</h3>
Applicants must be residents of Menlo Park and meet at least one of the following criteria:
<ul><li>Participation in qualifying assistance programs such as CALWorks, SNAP, PG&amp;E CARE, or the Menlo Park utility discount program</li><li>Residence in a Menlo Park neighborhood with a CalEnviroScreen 4.0 score above 60, in areas disproportionately burdened by pollution, including Belle Haven, West Bayfront, and parts of Suburban Park.</li><li>Age 65 years or older</li></ul>
<h3>How to Apply</h3>
Residents may apply online by first reviewing eligibility and submitting an application through the program website. Applications will be reviewed, and applicants will be notified of their status.
Funding is limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
