Menlo Park Fire: Agency Quickly Douses Garbage Truck Blaze
The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the Menlo Park Fire Protection District.

MENLO PARK, CA ā Menlo Park firefighters made quick work of a vehicle fire in town in the early morning hours of Friday, the Menlo Park Fire Protection District announced Tuesday. A garbage truck caught fire in front of Draegers Market, but fortunately did not spread past that.
According to Menlo Park Fire Protection District Chief Harold Schapelhouman, the fire occurred at 6:23 a.m. in front of the market at 1010 University drive. The fire was contained to the truck and crews stayed on the scene for over an hour to make sure the blaze was fully extinguished.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Schapelhouman said.
