Menlo Park Officers Respond To Shooting Incident

On April 25, 2020 at 11:12 a.m., Menlo Park officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1500 block of Willow Road in Menlo Park.

On Saturday, April 25, 2020 at approximately 11:12 a.m., Menlo Park officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1500 block of Willow Road in Menlo Park. When officers arrived to the area, they found a 44 year old male conscious and breathing, suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. The victim was treated at the scene by the Menlo Park Fire District and transported to the hospital for further medical care.

Officers attempted to obtain a statement from the victim but he was uncooperative and stated he did not know who shot him. Menlo Park Officers searched the area with the assistance of East Palo Alto Police and California Highway Patrol for any possible suspect(s). A search of the area failed to locate any suspects, but did identify the possible location of the shooting to be in the field area off of Bayfront Expressway (Highway 84).

Initial investigation suggests the victim knew the suspect. The victim was not forthcoming with information pertaining to the circumstances of the shooting. It has been determined that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
