On June 12, 2020, at approximately 11:58 a.m., Menlo Park Police dispatch received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a Caltrain passenger train at the Oak Grove Avenue crossing.

Police officers arrived on scene and found an 82 year old male trapped under the train. Officers provided life saving measures until Menlo Park Fire arrived and took over the rescue effort. The male was freed and transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
This collision investigation is being conducted by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Transit Division.
