Menlo Park's Ritz Camera May Close Soon

Ritz Camera on Santa Cruz Avenue in Menlo Park is expected to close at the end of October, according to store staff. 

Ritz Camera & Image LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy about two months ago, leaving the future of about 800 stores nationwide in question. 

The exact date the store will close has not been set; it depends on how rapidly items inside the store sell, said a store employee. As you can see in the photo, the store is trying to shed inventory as quickly as possible.

An entrepreneur from Denver has shown interest in buying the store, although nothing has been put into writing. 

The store's lease is up at the end of next month.
