Just three minutes into the match, the Menlo School boys’ soccer team set the tone for a 3-0 league victory over host Woodside Priory on Wednesday.
The Knights (4-1-3 overall, 1-1-1 West Bay Athletic League), jumped out early with a clinical goal by junior Ryan Karle in the third minute of play off an assist from junior Max Parker assist. Karle and Parker would connect on the field again in similar fashion just over a half hour later to go into halftime 2-0.
With 2 minutes left in play senior Lyall Cooper crossed to freshman Jackson Wagner who neatly slotted home the last goal of the game.

Tim Costa, a junior, recorded the shutout. Solid defensive play in front of him was led by center backs Alec Drobac, a senior, and Jack Redman, a junior. Out wide defensively, senior Agustin Diaz and junior Glenn Baxter had nice performances as did the midfield of freshman Kyle Perez, junior Nick Batchelder and sophomore John Strong.
