With a strong showing in both singles and doubles, the Menlo School girl's tennis team opened its season with a 7-0 non-league victory over visiting Burlingame on Thursday.
The Knights are wasting no time, diving into the season with a match against CCS finalist and perennial power Saratoga, before traveling to Fresno for the California Classic next week. Entering his 17th season, Menlo coach Bill Shine likes what he saw against the Panthers.
"I'm very pleased with our effort and spirit," said Coach Bill Shine. "One of our goals was to improve a lot in doubles. I'm proud of them."
