Menlo Girls Nearly Upset Mercy-SF in Overtime
Dehnad leads fourth-quarter rally; Edelman scores 23 in near-upset.

Menlo School point guard Lauren Lete sank a baseline shot to send the game into overtime, but league leader Mercy-San Francisco held on for a 74-70 victory in Atherton on Tuesday.
Menlo holds a 2-3 mark in West Bay Athletic League-Foothill play and is 11-7 overall. Mercy moves to 5-0 and 19-0 overall.
The Knights got a 23-point, 11-rebound performance from center Drew Edelman.

Donya Dehnad led a 21-point, fourth-quarter rally that closed the gap. She had eight points in the fourth quarter and finished with 17 points, including a trio of three-pointers, and eight rebounds for the game.
Menlo had key contributions from Maddy Price making her first start of the season and scoring 13 points. Lete recorded five assists and eight points. Mariah Masoli scored 23, including four from three-point range, to lead Mercy.
