Meth-toting Shooter Held on $50K Bail

A South San Francisco man has been charged with multiple feloniesĀ for allegedly firing a gun in Menlo ParkĀ on FridayĀ night, according to theĀ district attorney's office.
Saul Mendoza, 24, was arrested after several witnesses said theyĀ saw him fire a handgun in the 1100 block of Willow Road at aboutĀ 10:40 p.m.,Ā according to Menlo Park police.
Officers responded to the area and stopped Mendoza as he wasĀ attempting to flee, police said.
He was taken into custody after a brief struggle with officers,Ā police said.
A search of the suspect and the immediate area yielded a handgun,Ā marijuana and methamphetamine, police said.
The San Mateo County District Attorney's Office has chargedĀ Mendoza with six felonies, including reckless discharge of a firearm, being aĀ felon in possession of a firearm, drug possession and threatening an officer.
He is being held in San Mateo County Jail on $50,000 bail.
