One-Handed Cooking Demonstration & Inspiration

A program for: Stroke survivors, caregivers, therapists, community members and others recovering from a debilitating physical trauma

Don’t miss this opportunity to join the Pacific Stroke Association in welcoming Rosanna Radding for an enlightening presentation on the global importance of learning to cook for oneself following a stroke.

Rosanna’s demonstration presents stroke survivors, medical professionals and caregivers witth information and insights from a stroke survivor’s perspective. She will share her thoughts on the challenges of rehabilitation and transitioning into the “new normal” of living one-handed in a two-handed world.

The workshop is presented in a practical way to inform caregivers and professionals and to motivate stroke survivors toward living REABLED rather than disabled.

Demonstrations include adapted and repurposed tool use and food preparation techniques for a one-handed kitchen combined with a pinch of Rosanna’s hard earned post-stroke wisdom such as one gains following a debilitating physical trauma, permanent or otherwise.
