Part of Hwy 84 Closes Monday Due To Bicyclist Collision

Two bicyclists were hospitalized after colliding with each other near state Highway 84 in Woodside this morning, a San Mateo County sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

The crash was reported at 10:48 a.m. near Highway 84 at Friars Lane, sheriff’s spokeswoman Deputy Rebecca Rosenblatt said. The two bicyclists, a man and woman in their 50s, were taken to the hospital, Rosenblatt said.

She did not immediately have information on their conditions.

Highway 84 is shut down in the area and is expected to be closed until early this afternoon while authorities investigate the crash, she said.
